Best Photography Spots: Vicenza

If you’re planning an upcoming photography session with me around Vicenza, I’ve got you covered! Feel free to look through the following locations if there’s something that particularly suits you, otherwise I’m happy to share my thoughts to accommodate your specific session.

Monte Berico

Monte Berico is one of two of my go-to spots in Vicenza just because of the variety of scenery in just one area. With the church overlooking all of Vicenza, it creates an incredible backdrop for all of your needs. Sunset is best for lighting, but if you prefer less people sunrise is always great.

Piazza dei Signori

My other go-to spot in Vicenza for family or extended family sessions is the Piazza dei Signori. The piazza is always a great area to start, but we always work our way towards colorful alleyways or bridges over waterways with pops of florals. If you’re looking for a typical Italian background to commemorate your time in Vicenza, this is timeless.

Bugano Vineyard

Bugano Vineyard is best during the summer through the fall, especially when the leaves begin to change. If you’re looking for another iconic Italian background but want something more natural or different from cityscapes, this is a great spot for photos. Best to photograph at sunset.

Parco Querini

The gardens here are stunning, and it’s a great spot to take photos of children for milestones or maternity photos. Personally the best time of day to capture is at sunset.

Lago di Garda (Lake Garda)

If you’re looking for Lake Como vibes without having to drive all the way out to Lake Como, look no further than Lago di Garda! My preferred spot for photos is Riva del Garda, which has a stunning backdrop of the lake and mountains behind. If you’re open to boat photos, Isola del Garda is iconic.

Padova

Padova is the next city over from Vicenza, but it is so stunning and quite different from Piazza dei Signori. If you’re looking for another beautiful Italian city background outside of Vicenza, this is a great area. Perfect conditions at sunrise.
