Best Photography Spots: Vicenza
If you’re planning an upcoming photography session with me around Vicenza, I’ve got you covered! Feel free to look through the following locations if there’s something that particularly suits you, otherwise I’m happy to share my thoughts to accommodate your specific session.
Monte Berico
Monte Berico is one of two of my go-to spots in Vicenza just because of the variety of scenery in just one area. With the church overlooking all of Vicenza, it creates an incredible backdrop for all of your needs. Sunset is best for lighting, but if you prefer less people sunrise is always great.
Piazza dei Signori
My other go-to spot in Vicenza for family or extended family sessions is the Piazza dei Signori. The piazza is always a great area to start, but we always work our way towards colorful alleyways or bridges over waterways with pops of florals. If you’re looking for a typical Italian background to commemorate your time in Vicenza, this is timeless.
Bugano Vineyard
Bugano Vineyard is best during the summer through the fall (mid-April to beginning of November), especially when the leaves begin to change. If you’re looking for another iconic Italian background but want something more natural or different from cityscapes, this is a great spot for photos. Best to photograph at sunset.
Parco Querini
The gardens here are stunning, and it’s a great spot to take photos of children for milestones or maternity photos. Personally the best time of day to capture is at sunset.
Tulip Fields (April)
These next few are only available for a few weeks out of the year! Tulips are exciting because it’s the first sign of good weather coming in the year ahead. I’ve photographed at Agricola Peretti Daniele, Nonno Andrea, Sigurta Garden Park, and Tulipani Euganei — all are great but I do have a personal favorite if you book a session with me!
Poppy Fields (May)
From the beginning to middle of May, poppy fields are in bloom! This makes the perfect session around Mother’s Day. Once May starts, I’m usually driving around on the lookout for the best poppy fields as they vary year to year. My favorites are usually in the Longare and Ponte di Nanto area.
